Messing with Gators...

RMEDIVER Commercial Diving spent the beginning of the 2011 diving season working with Infrastructure Engineers in support of underwater inspections conducted for South Florida Water Management.

The inspection included culverts, low level dams, spillways, and locks throughout the South Florida region.

A wide variety of obstacles are encountered during the inspections. Many of the structures are remotely located throughout the everglades, some have poor water quality and most have debris. A major concern on all the structures is local animal life.

Many of the structures host a variety of dangerous animal life that includes Cayman, crocodile, alligator, and various species of snakes.

One of the more destructive creatures encountered was people, leaving everything from fishing tackle to animal carcasses from ritual sacrifice.

51 Panhead build

Finished off a build on a 1951 Panhead this November, had it in the trailer on a job in South Florida and got hit by a tractor trailer on the way home. Damaged the tins, headlight, handlebars, and rear rim but she is back on the road now.

Hopefully going to be featured in Barnetts magazine next issue
